Girl Scouts Steppin’ Up!

Five years ago, Madi and Rhiannon, two Girl Scouts from Michigan, were completing research for their Girl Scouts Bronze Awards when they discovered that the Girl Scout cookies they had been selling each year are packed with palm oil, an ingredient that causes clear-cutting of tropical rainforests and threatens the survival of humankind’s close relative, orangutans.
But don’t worry- although this is very saddening because we all love Girl Scout cookies and Girl Scouts USA, there is still hope!  Madi and Rhiannon are committed to convince Girl Scouts USA (GSUSA) to replace palm oil with a truly environmentally responsible alternative, but they can’t do it without your help.
